Fabrikr

Made up of Kim Dongkyu and Kim Sungjo, Fabrikr is an artist group that refuses to limit their artistic realm, showing a broad creative spectrum encompassing everything from objét art to installation works that cover entire areas of space. They express objéts as a world that encapsulates boundless space while aggrandizing single objects into immense spaces. Transcending genres through collaborations across diverse fields, the group reaches out to a broader audience to inspire them with reinterpretations of subjects via a new perspective. Their work direction and overall mission are about inspiring more and more people with their art. In addition to being part of the collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum, their works have been part of numerous exhibitions in Korea and abroad, including 100% Design London, HAND Expansion and Coexistence, Cheongju Craft Biennale, Anything, Something, Gwangju Design Biennale, PEACEMINUSONE, Seoul Museum of Art, Making Life, Clayarch Gimhae Museum, and more. They have also collaborated on projects with internationally renowned companies, including Nike, BMW, Samsung, Gentle Monster, and more.

CODE KUNST

Covering diverse genres of music, CODE KUNST is an artist who is recognized for his talents by a wide range of listeners, including avid hip hop fans. The artist, who has a solid voice color, shares with us unassuming and approachable music - almost like a daily journal entry - that is critically acclaimed musically and appealing to the masses. Since joining Korea's representative hip hop label AOMG in 2018, he has released nine single albums and his fourth album, People. Since 2020, he has been featured in TV programs such as Hangout with Yoo and Show Me the Money 9 and in various mediums, such as Elle Korea, fortifying his position as one of the leading producers in Korea. He confirmed his unparalleled status as a music producer once again when he won the Producer of the Year award at the 2021 Korean Hip Hop Awards.

United Visual Artists

United Visual Artists(UVA) is a London based collective founded in 2003 by British artist Matt Clark. UVA’s diverse body of work integrates new technologies with traditional media such as sculpture, performance and site-specific installation, as well as continuing to suggest new artistic direction through developing fresh techniques and materials. UVA has been commissioned internationally by institutions including Victoria & Albert Museum, London, England; Serpentine Gallery, London, England; Academy of Arts, London, England; and others. UVA is collected by the Tate Modern, London, England; Foundation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, France; and MONA, Australia. The practice has an open and inclusive approach to collaboration and have worked with artists including choreographer Benjamin Millepied and the Paris Opéra Ballet, filmmaker Adam Curtis, and musicians Massive Attack, Battles, and James Blake.

Peggy Gou

Peggy Gou, the DJ, producer, and fashion designer based in Berlin, was born in Incheon, Korea, and found her way to the German city to DJ after completing her studies at the London College of Fashion. Since then, Gou, who has a base in electronic music, has become a cultural and fashion icon loved worldwide for her distinct style and characteristics. She was the first Korean DJ to play in Berlin's infamous club Berghain and has been taking the world by storm with her symbolic music It Makes You Forget, Starry Night, and her 2021 new single, I Go. She has let loose her unfettered energy and music philosophies playing at various events, including Peggy Gou presents The Pleasure Gardens festival that she organized and has created a one-of-a-kind genre by inserting the Korean language into electronic and house music. She won Best Track at the 2018 AIM Independent Music Awards, and in 2019, she was named one of Forbes Magazine's "30 Under 30" most influential people in Asia. Even speaking on invitation at the Oxford University debating society Oxford Union in 2020, she is demonstrating a massive force that transcends fields and genres.

SILO Lab.

An interactive media art studio with a base in engineering, design, and video, SILO Lab. reinterprets the beauty of nature using diverse media technologies in an attempt to expand into new experiences at the point when art meets technology. The work of SILO Lab. is about filling familiar spaces with a different sense of style and emotions, presenting fresh, new encounters through digital subjects that always seem just a bit out of reach. Though built upon a foundation of light, sound, and visuals using meticulous techniques, their artistic sphere embodies emotional sentiments that draw out delicate experiences. SILO Lab. is in demand by various names around the globe, such as Netflix, Gentle Monster, Nike, and Hyundai Motors. SILO Lab. is currently getting a lot of attention and love from the general public, as they continue to actively produce and showcase such works as Punghwa, Mysterious Fire, Yoonseul, and the Light of ASEAN Exhibition at the COEX.

frankinsense

The musician/producer duo frankinsense is comprised of Yu Jeongmin (3amsalmon) and Shin Seongjin (Hertz), who create experimental attempts that combine various musical genres while keeping a foundation on R&B and soul. They weave their idiosyncratic aura and colors into their music using earnest expressions, forming melodic creations that can, through their imagination, maximize subdued emotions. The duo, who released their single album Butterflies in My Throat in 2021, is also making their mark as music producers in varied projects, such as Nike, DL Construction, and Amorepacific. In 2020, they represented Korea in MUTEK, the international festival of digital creativity and electronic music.

Studio ARTECH

The media art group, comprised of Kim Sungpil and Park Munsok, uses code-based graphics to explore the possibilities in interacting with audiences and show the process of finding tangents between life and art and art and technology. The work of Studio ARTECH, which are video, sound, and programming-rooted pieces, shows the role and meaning of media art in our lives and attempts to reach out to the masses through the art of everyday life. Through collaborations with world-renowned corporations, such as Hyundai Motors Studio, Gentle Monster, and K-Water, and various projects with arts organizations, such as Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, Arts Council Korea, and Busan Cinema Center, the group is pushing the limits of what media art can achieve.

Yun Seok Cheol

The musician and producer Yun Seok Cheol goes far and beyond, transcending the genres of jazz, pop, hip hop, electronics, and ballads. Debuting through a distinguished jazz festival and as a prizewinner of renowned Concours, Cheol has released five solo albums in 2021. With Jeong Sange on base and Kim Yeongjin on drums, he has been part of the band Yun Seok Cheol Trio since 2009, releasing the album SONGBOOK in December of 2019. The artist has seven albums under his belt, including Tailor, the first album he produced under the name The BLANK Shop in September of 2020, and is well-loved by fellow musicians and avid jazz fans. In addition to producing his own albums, he is creating an unrivaled, emotionally musical synergy by participating as a session musician, composer, and arranger in albums for artists such as Zion. T, BangBaek, Gwon Jinah, Sam Kim, and Baek Yerin. He is currently musically progressing in a multidirectional way, flourishing as a solo and trio artist, producer, and moving into the field of exhibition soundtracks as well.

Ambiguous Dance Company

The fine arts group Ambiguous Dance Company was created in 2011 with choreographer Kim Boram at the center. Just as their name suggests, Ambiguous puts a new spin on contemporary dance and fine performance arts through their unique, hard-to-define idiosyncratic performances, offering fresh perspectives and interpretations through varied platforms. Their first work released in 2010, Body Concert, in which they interpret a broad spectrum of music ranging from electronic to classical through various movements, was very well-received by audiences both at home and abroad and since then has become their representative piece. Their subsequent works, such as Coexistence, Mistake, Rhythm of Human, Catharsis, and FEVER, also garnered much attention, giving them acknowledgment for both their artistic talents and mass appeal. Ambiguous, who earned public recognition for their collaborations Sugungga (2019) with pansori pop band Leenalchi and Feel the Rhythm of Korea(2021) with Korea Tourism Organization, is currently making headway in diverse fields of TV programs, advertisements, video, and exhibitions. Recently, they have come into the limelight for their choreography and performance collaboration in Coldplay's new song, Higher Power(2021).

Lim Yong Ju

Sound artist and producer Lim YongJu studied nongak and samulnori, traditional forms of Korean music, applying their age-old rhythm, structure, and balance to produce diverse electronic and experimental music. Lim, a member of the Korean traditional music-based World Music Group Gong Myoung, has long been devoted to creating experimental musical instruments made from various materials and producing music with them. With numerous signature songs such as Space Bamboo, With Sea, Plateau, and Higgs in his resume, Lim frequently performs in many distinguished venues and festivals both in and outside of Korea. He is also the organizer of Modular Seoul, a concert series introducing diverse electronic and experimental music of the contemporary, taking the lead in the production and the experimental participation of artists in traditional music and instruments. His solo releases include titles such as No Rhythm 無長短, the piece he released after being appointed as a Soorim New Wave artist, BBUREKA, funded by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture Arts Support program, and The Quing 轟 the work chosen as the Arts Council Korea-hosted 2020 ARKO Selection's the New Title of the Year.
